BS: Yes, it’s very much like an iPhone app, except that it’s for the Nintendo devices and they have their version of the App Store called DSiWare; the Inchworm Animation app is available there. 35 Stills created with the Inchworm Animation app. BS: Also, Flat Black Films is currently producing five independent short animations being directed by long-time lead animators Jennifer Deutrom, Randy Cole, Katy O’Connor, and Patrick Thornton. But I don’t believe it would have been as personal, powerful, or unique a piece, because animation is so integral a part of my life. I think with any hand-drawn, frameby-frame animation there is a visceral connection between head, heart, and hand. I think you can go further in animation in some ways than you can in liveaction: psychologically, symbolically, emotionally.
